Patagonia Nano Puff® Scarf

Nano Puff® Scarf is better than a stout Amish quilt for sealing out persistent cold. It has a smooth, skin-pampering feel along with the technical benefits of wind-and-water resistance, and features a slick all-recycled polyester shell and a highly stuffable layer of 100-g PrimaLoft® One quilted on the inside to warm up a damp evening or a day on the slopes. A pass-through slit creates oodles of fit possibilities; it's reinforced for durability. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Details

  • Shell fabric is from the Nano Puff® series from Alpine
  • 100-g PrimaLoft® One insulation ensures warmth around neck and chest
  • Pass-through slit allows a great fit and is reinforced for durability

  • Shell: 1-oz 100% recycled polyester. Insulation: 100-g PrimaLoft® One. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program
  • 68 g (2.4 oz)

Material

Recycled Polyester
We recycle used soda bottles, unusable second quality fabrics and worn out garments into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Technology

At Patagonia we seek to build the best product and cause no unnecessary harm. That's our mission statement, and it takes many forms. As it applies to making products, we work hard to source materials and use processes that are less harmful to the Earth without compromising quality. Because to us, quality is not only how well a product performs and holds up, but also how it's made.

Cassette Tool Updated

Call this Bike Parts 2.0, this tools makes things a bit easier and less bulky to the alternative.
Normally you’d need a three-pronged attack to remove the cassette: a cassette locking tool, a spanner and a chainwhip. The Shimano-compatible Next Best Thing 2 does away with the need for these heavy tools by using the derailleur hanger as a leverage point.
Once anchored in place, which can be a little fiddly, it’s a matter of turning the pedals to loosen the lockring. As long as the lockring hasn’t been overtightened initially – best to check before setting off on tour – it’s a clever solution to every tourer’s nightmare.

Who Want To Go Skiing or Snowboarding Now!

It might be the end of summer but with movies like "Come Find Us" who does not want to go skiing or snowboarding. Good things for kids like this, really shows how to push the limit and get you jazzed to get it done.

Keeping SunScreen On!

Finding a product that stays on and keeps you protected is hard, now SCAPE comes to the rescue.
SCIENCE BEHIND SCAPE
In the words of Dr. Martens…
1. Formula is 5x More Waterproof, Sweatproof and Doesn’t Clog Pores “Traditionally, sunscreens use oil to achieve waterproofing.
We developed a polymer matrix that bonds to your skin to make it waterproof. This creates an ultra thin Gore-tex-like layer on the skin and to hold the suncreeen in place even if you sweat for a long time or are in the in water. Most importantly, it doesn’t block pores so you can still sweat.”
2. Top-of-the-Line UVA Protection
“SCAPE provides the highest level of UVA protection possible. Plus, the formula includes antioxidants that remove free radicals from skin for cellular protection.”
3. Stringent Unbiased Testing
“When sunscreen companies do waterproof testing, it’s usually 20 people in a pool for 80 minutes—no movement and no towel-off when they get out. Then SPF test is done. This has nothing to do with an athlete’s reality. So we designed a much more stringent test. We exposed our product to stricter conditions both on athletes and in the lab. Plus, we had an independent lab doing the testing as well—not just us.”
4. Athlete-Tested Outside the Lab
“Additionally, it was important that we tested our product in real life, so we teamed with volleyball players, surfers, endurance athletes, etc, for testing. That was a crucial part missing in product development with other companies. You can only test products so much in a lab—eventually you have to put it in a real-world application, and we did that.”
