Hearable and the Bragi, The Dash

The Dash has a touch sensitive surface that lets you control either what your smartphone or what the embedded music player does. You can control The Dash with sliding motions and taps. It is easy to do, even while running or biking.
While active noise cancellation is only good at reducing continuous reoccurring sound, noise isolation reduces all sounds. Active noise cancellation is good at reducing noise from the air-con and airplanes. Noise Isolation reduces noise from screaming kids, dogs barking, wife/husband yelling, airplanes, speeding cars, drunken sailors, neighbors playing basketball. Just about everything. Best thing is, that great noise isolation has increased battery time versus active noise cancellation.

FreeWavz, Very Nice Earphones!

Whether they have been listening to my post or not, but FreeWavz, has gotten very close to making one of the best sports headphones out. One thing that is not clear from watching the video, where is the iPhone? Does it need to be with you?

Lets hope that it is phone free. I do wish they would send me one so that I could test it out. Maybe next time.

Dreamscience Propulsion Thrusters, AMAZING!

Being unable to simultaneously control a power-kite and board, I figured a thruster system would be more controllable allowing me to focus my efforts on controlling the board.
The thruster system allows the user, not only to get more air in an extreme sport, but also get more forward speed - I've had to get friends to test this as I haven't got the bottle! And most impressive is uphill skiing and pulling up using reverse thrust to slow down !

The Swiss Army Knife of Jackets!

Seymourpowell has designed a new smart jacket for extreme environments called Life Tech, for outdoor sportswear brand Kolon Sport.

The Challenge
Seymourpowell faced the challenge of designing a jacket for the most extreme environments with functional elements that would be able to save lives in the harshest of conditions.

The Response
The jacket's design and features are directly influenced by extensive research and interviews with extreme survival experts. Seymourpowell worked closely with mountaineers and ski guides, a Professor of human thermodynamics, an ex-UK Special Forces operative and even a Polar Explorer. This research gave invaluable insights that have been used to create genuinely innovative and lifesaving features.

In a sign that the wearable technology revolution is being driven by the fashion industry, the Kolon Sport Life Tech jacket applies relevant wearable technologies designed to save lives in the harshest of conditions and demonstrates the effectiveness of wearable technology in clothing when there is a genuine need for it.

The Response
The various technological details of the design include: a tri-layered system made up of an outer waterproof and windproof, breathable Gore PRO outer shell jacket; a thermal inner layer with a Heatex System (the world's first conductive polymer heating system); and a stretch fabric base layer with electronic device and battery stowage with proximity to core body heat.

Other key technical design features include a wearable wind turbine generator; oversized zip pulls for use with gloves; easy access shoulder and back straps for manhandling a companion in distress; and a wearable first aid and survival kit.

The wind turbine mounted onto the sleeve of the jacket can be angled to generate power throughout the day whilst the wearer is on the move. It can also be removed and attached to the exterior of a tent to continue generating power overnight. The turbine can charge auxiliary devices such as GPS & smartphones for essential navigation and communication. The Heatex System provides up to seven hours of potentially life saving heat up to a temperature of 40-50°C around vital organs.

And Another Wearable Fitness Tracker - Jaybird REIGN

Not much known here, it tracks by your life activity, sleep, and go-zone. It would be great if it vibrated you awake, or you could customize what you wanted it to do. Here is a perfect opportunity to change it up, not follow the dozen or more wearable's that are all doing the same thing, claiming they are better. Don't follow, make an app that has all the functions baked in allowing the user to decide what they want tracked and alerted.
Boy how I would love to work for one of these companies!

Snowmule, Pull Your Kids Around The Mountain!

We have all tried something like this, using our poles, our parents tried many different things as well, just not sure why this never occurred to anyone, until now.

Winter sports family holidays are incredibly popular for good reason – what other activity can the entire family, of all ages, participate in together? Add the fantastic mountain air and there is very little else anyone could wish for…. ...except an extra pair of hands for pulling the children along! Snowmule is a ski innovation for pulling children on those flat areas of snow while keeping your hands free.

EASYBREATH Snorkel

This EASYBREATH snorkel can be taken many different ways, purist will hate it, kids will love it! For surface viewing it looks great and easy of use is wonderful, I wonder what happens when I go down 70 feet. Would love to get one into my hand to try. Brilliant.

The main obstacle to snorkelling is the difficulty in breathing underwater with a snorkel. Indeed, breathing through your mouth is unnatural, and the snorkel mouthpiece is sometimes considered too intrusive, uncomfortable and unhygienic. That's why Tribord invented the Easybreath mask, the first full-face snorkelling mask, for breathing underwater as easily and naturally as you would on land with your nose and mouth. Thanks to its large size, this innovative mask also offers users an unobstructed 180° field of vision, and is prevented from fogging up by a double air-flow system that is identical to the system used in domestic extraction fans.

Oh and the cost is a no brainier, around $60
