Snowmule, Pull Your Kids Around The Mountain!

We have all tried something like this, using our poles, our parents tried many different things as well, just not sure why this never occurred to anyone, until now.

Winter sports family holidays are incredibly popular for good reason – what other activity can the entire family, of all ages, participate in together? Add the fantastic mountain air and there is very little else anyone could wish for…. ...except an extra pair of hands for pulling the children along! Snowmule is a ski innovation for pulling children on those flat areas of snow while keeping your hands free.

EASYBREATH Snorkel

This EASYBREATH snorkel can be taken many different ways, purist will hate it, kids will love it! For surface viewing it looks great and easy of use is wonderful, I wonder what happens when I go down 70 feet. Would love to get one into my hand to try. Brilliant.

The main obstacle to snorkelling is the difficulty in breathing underwater with a snorkel. Indeed, breathing through your mouth is unnatural, and the snorkel mouthpiece is sometimes considered too intrusive, uncomfortable and unhygienic. That's why Tribord invented the Easybreath mask, the first full-face snorkelling mask, for breathing underwater as easily and naturally as you would on land with your nose and mouth. Thanks to its large size, this innovative mask also offers users an unobstructed 180° field of vision, and is prevented from fogging up by a double air-flow system that is identical to the system used in domestic extraction fans.

Oh and the cost is a no brainier, around $60

TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch

TomTom, you would have thought missed the boat, ok they did with smartphones and the whole mapping apps. Well I have to say they bounced back, very well, it is hard to buy yourself another watch, but one that can detect pretty well treadmill and laps done in a pool, well that is worth $200.

Scrap all the other toys you have planned for the holiday season and return the other watches, this is a game changer, Yeah TomTom is not well known in the Multisports arena or any arena outside your car, but for years many trusted it to get them where they were going. I am sure it can do an amazing job tracking where I want to go!

Why You Need to Be Doing Burpees

Why You Need to Be Doing Burpees

What is the best predictor of when you’ll die? That seems like a hard—not to mention morbid—question, but, incredibly, study after study is showing that simple tests of physical performance are highly predictive of future mortality.
My favorite recent example is a study from Brazil that tracked just over 2,000 subjects age 50 and up. A 10 point score system was developed to assess how easily they could get up off the floor based on a sitting-rising test (SRT):
Lower SRT scores were associated with higher mortality (p<0.001). A continuous trend for longer survival was reflected by multivariate-adjusted (age, sex, body mass index) hazard ratios of 5.44 (95% CI 3.1–9.5), 3.44 (95% CI 2.0–5.9), and 1.84 (95% CI 1.1–3.0) (p<0.001) from lower to higher SRT scores. Each unit increase in SRT score conferred a 21% improvement in survival. Conclusions: Musculoskeletal fitness, as assessed by SRT, was a significant predictor of mortality in 51–80-year-old subjects.
There was a clear relationship between how easy it was for the people to get off the floor and how long they lived.
A little deeper dive into the data shows that about 95 percent of the people who scored well (between eight and 10) survived over 14 years. Only about 60 percent of those who scored poorly (between zero and three) survived for 14 years, and the number of people who scored poorly increased with age.
And that’s not the only test out there that can predict lifespan. There is now evidence that poor grip strength predicts early mortality in young people.

iWatch, Apples Jump Into Wearable Electronics!

Could this be it! We are all wishing for it, I wear a watch everyday, then I switch to my running watch, then if I am working outdoors, to another. One Watch all the time would be great. Have the ability to see who is calling, play a song, messages, calendar items, meetings, well you get the idea. Now this one looks just like the Nike Fuel Band, but you have to start somewhere and with Nike and Apples partnerships in the past, why over think the concept.

"Though tomorrow's Apple event is shrouded by the usual air of mystery, there will almost definitely be news about a new iPad. The future is less certain for iWatchhopefuls, but in the meantime you can check out this incredibly slick-looking faux mockup of an Apple smartwatch by Berlin-based engineer Thomas Bogner, who posted his concept to Dribbble earlier today.
Bogner, a Nike FuelBand owner, calls his mockup "the bastard child of a Fuel Band [sic] and an iPhone."
Though neither Bogner nor his design have anything to do with Apple, his mockup, whose display features both vertical and horizontal scrolling, evokes some of that glossy, sell-worthy sheen Apple would need to pull off to convince as-yet skeptical consumers that smartwatches are the new smartphones."
