Google Body, Excellent!

Google Body, Wonder teaching product. This product by Google is jut perfect, yes there are changes that can be made but out of the box it is brilliant. The limitation are the browser, it seems as though it is ready for the Andriod market. Just can't wait for it to hit the iPad 2, even 1 would be nice.

78% of American Favor EMR, Finally

In one of the most methodologically rigorous studies to date on health information technology, NORC at the University of Chicago has found that Americans favor use of electronic medical records (EMRs) by a wide margin (78 percent). The results of the NORC study are important because they appear to show popular support for initiatives of President George W. Bush in 2004 and President Barack Obama in 2009 to assure that all Americans have EMRs by 2014. The findings were published in the February edition of the journal, HSR: Health Services Research. Other findings showed that • 78 percent of Americans believe EMRs could improve care • 59 percent believe EMRs could reduce health costs • 72 percent support sharing of health care information among providers • 80 percent favored use of e-prescribing (sending prescriptions electronically from the physician to the pharmacy) • 79 percent thought that personal health records (an electronic record designed specifically for consumers to access over the web) would help patients to be better informed about their health. • Despite the fact that 48 percent of Americans are concerned about the privacy of medical records, fully 64 percent said that the benefits of EMRs outweigh privacy concerns

Sanitization at the gym has moved beyond wiping down the bench or bike with a towel and disinfectant. It's gravitating toward self-cleaning equipment that wipes sweat away and keeps people protected from harmful bacteria.

A Pittsburgh-based company is making sure gym-goers have that kind of access to the equipment on which they might sweat the most. SilverSport, a brand derived from Eco Product Group, offers a workout towel, a Pilates roller and a yoga mat with what it calls its Silver Clean Zone. Each product represents one of those zones by using Terra Silver to eliminate more than 650 types of surface-borne, odor-causing bacteria.

Thomas Davis, president of Eco Product Group, told Wired.com that nanosilver particles - up to 20,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair - are to thank for the equipment's odor-killing prowess.

"The material [in the products] is silver," Davis said. "Silver happens to be a natural anti-microbial. It fights bacteria naturally."

When activated by moisture - in this case, sweat - the nanosilver particles bind to the surface to rid the product of bacteria. That's why even though the towel doesn't technically have to be washed, its functionality is enhanced by running it through the washer. "Hypothetically, you don't need to wash the towel" for it to eliminate bacteria, Davis said, before pointing out that people will understandably want to wash it regularly to eliminate surface dirt.

The LZ2 has proven to be a solid watch, from CrossFit workouts, to running in 12 inches of snow, it does what it should tell time, spot on. Along with it being black/blue face depending on the light, big numbers to read at all time in all conditions, date and a band that gives off a leather presence but is actually rubber.

If you need one watch this would be my choice. One and Done. Collectors should all have one in their box.
