Magrette a New Zealand watch company, has some wonderful designed watches. The Regattare, is simple, yet elegant, rugged and sophisticated. A watch that can be worn everyday. It has automatic movement, and two bands, rubber and leather. The bezel works a bit different than normal, you adjust it with a turn of the adjustment dial, like you would the time, eliminating any problems you might have while underwater, like bumping it or rubbing up against something, turn the bezel to a different time.
One concern I have, after wearing the watch for a couple hour of receiving it the pin came out, watch dropped to the floor, lucky I was on a carpet. I have set Dion a message, let's hope he gets back to me. I will keep all posted. A nice screw in pin like other watches of this quality would have been a better choice, especially if you are changing the bands often.

Love These Glove Or Are They Mitten
So having a mitten or glove has always been a preference for many. You either can't tie your shoes or you can, scratch your head or not, you get the idea. This design from CAMP-USA, the price is excellent as well, $80.
ABOUT CAMP USA
CAMP USA is the exclusive US importer and distributor of CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment, the 120 year-old Italian climbing and mountaineering brand.
From our offices just outside of Boulder, we occupy our time obsessing over gear, taking care of customers, and exploring the Colorado rockies. Lunchtime romps in the Flatirons, morning alpine climbs in Rocky Mountain National Park, and dawn patrol ski tours on Loveland Pass keep us honest.
In addition to our small and dedicated staff, we rely on our athletes and customers for feedback and that not-so-subtle kind of pressure climbers like to exert when they talk about gear. If you have feedback or need anything from us, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for visiting.

The ultimate glove for spring ski tours and races! For pre-dawn starts and above tree line ridges when the fingers need a bit more protection simply pull out the hidden wind mitts. The coated ripstop nylon Windmit’N covers the fingers and thumb while leaving the palm exposed for good grip. The G Comp Wind is also a great glove for cycling in foul weather.

Back Country Access, Stay Afloat on the Slopes
Safety on the slopes is important, first we all started to wear helmets, great move. Now if you are going back country and hucking yourself off cliffs, well BCA (Backcountry Access), they have what you need.
Preventing or minimizing burial depth is the key to reducing avalanche fatalities. That’s because the majority of time in an avalanche rescue is spent on excavating the victim. An airbag is designed to keep you at or near the surface, minimizing excavation time.
Our Float avalanche airbags are the first airbags that are both affordable and easily reusable. A wide network of BCA-authorized refill centers provide unmatched service to Float purchasers. A small 2,700-psi (186 bar) compressed-air cylinder, single-chamber 150-liter airbag, and super efficient venturi system make the Float systems easy to refill, light and affordable.

MINUS 8, Astro Studio
So we are all looking at movements of watches, hopefully they are swiss. Well The MINUS 8 brand, consisting of products designed in this West Coast culture, is proud of its position on the world stage and takes its name from this international nomenclature. Time is relative. We are only aware of its passing if change occurs. The MINUS 8 watch references our dependence on change through a series of subtle color shifts, each step only visible in the context of the others. This color shift is achieved through the process of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD.) PVD is an industrial coating process which is inherently time dependent. A raw stainless piece is placed in a vacuum chamber where a hard coating accumulates over time. More time in the chamber produces a thicker coating and a more opaque color.
A new wave of watch designers are starting to hit the market, using swiss movements, putting more focus on design. They are great, Professional Watches, has a great assortment of new and old watches with great reviews.
If you are new to the scene check out the directory, to see what you have in front of you. Watch collecting is coming back, so get on the wagon before the prices of some of these new watches gets out of reach.

Augmented Reality, Good Use
There are many uses for Agumented Reality Game companies are trying to figure out a good use, The Daemon, has some good examples of this as well, along with heads up display. This would fall into both. One delivering info while another updating items as you pass.
European Satellite Navigation Competition in Munich and this beautiful system won the competition. This is a True3D GPS navigation system designed by Making Virtual Solid (MVS-California). In this solution the images are projected onto cars’ windshield to provide a non-distracting and transparent route guidance. With True3D a 3D surrounding is projected over the real world keeping drivers’ eyes on the road. There are virtual road signs for potential hazards and an opportunity that advertisers would love to get their hands to display business logos floating over them.
Virtual Cable™
Virtual Cable™ is an augmented reality (AR) application for automotive navigation. The system, using our breakthrough
true-3D technology, presents a wayfinding line visible right through the windshield; presenting the information as a natural part of the landscape. As you can see in the video below, the line appears to be stretched over the road for several hundered yards in front of the car, above the street-level activity of traffic.

As you can see in the video below, the line appears to be stretched over the road for several hundered yards in front of the car, above the street-level activity of traffic.
Current GPS systems distract the driver's gaze from the road to animated two-dimensional maps, with a distinct lag as the brain interprets the map information and applies it to the route. Often several glances are required to resolve the differences between the "cartoon version" of the GPS data and the real world. The Virtual Cable™, with its naturalistic perspective and foreshortening, appears to the driver as a solid overhead cable, showing turn-by-turn information way before the driver needs to act on it.

New Vision, Kayak!
Interesting take on Kayaking. I see that the body is secure but how about the legs. Design is wonderful and if this could transform into a workable solution I am all for it, especially when surfing in the waves.
Freestyle kayaking is a relatively young offshoot of the canoe sport, where athletes perform maneuvers similar to those of skaters, snowboarders or surfers. This freestyle kayak design by David Laudert aims to improve upon the ergonomics, appearance, and overall user connection to the kayak. The athlete “fuses” with the hull and is fully supported within the interior without the use of straps that normally hold an athlete in place, relieving the fear of getting stuck under the boat in the event that it turns over and simultaneously enhancing the adrenaline-pumping experience.
