Love These Glove Or Are They Mitten

So having a mitten or glove has always been a preference for many. You either can't tie your shoes or you can, scratch your head or not, you get the idea. This design from CAMP-USA, the price is excellent as well, $80.

ABOUT CAMP USA
CAMP USA is the exclusive US importer and distributor of CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment, the 120 year-old Italian climbing and mountaineering brand.
From our offices just outside of Boulder, we occupy our time obsessing over gear, taking care of customers, and exploring the Colorado rockies. Lunchtime romps in the Flatirons, morning alpine climbs in Rocky Mountain National Park, and dawn patrol ski tours on Loveland Pass keep us honest.
In addition to our small and dedicated staff, we rely on our athletes and customers for feedback and that not-so-subtle kind of pressure climbers like to exert when they talk about gear. If you have feedback or need anything from us, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for visiting.

• Updated for 2011
• Ski Mountaineering Competitions, Winter Running
• Attached wind shells hide away in a pocket on the wrist
• Durable synthetic leather palm
• Grip’R pads on thumb, index finger, and palm for superior grip
• Reinforcement patch to prevent abrasion from pole straps
• Terry wipe on thumb
The ultimate glove for spring ski tours and races! For pre-dawn starts and above tree line ridges when the fingers need a bit more protection simply pull out the hidden wind mitts. The coated ripstop nylon Windmit’N covers the fingers and thumb while leaving the palm exposed for good grip. The G Comp Wind is also a great glove for cycling in foul weather.

New Vision, Kayak!

Interesting take on Kayaking. I see that the body is secure but how about the legs. Design is wonderful and if this could transform into a workable solution I am all for it, especially when surfing in the waves.
Freestyle kayaking is a relatively young offshoot of the canoe sport, where athletes perform maneuvers similar to those of skaters, snowboarders or surfers. This freestyle kayak design by David Laudert aims to improve upon the ergonomics, appearance, and overall user connection to the kayak. The athlete “fuses” with the hull and is fully supported within the interior without the use of straps that normally hold an athlete in place, relieving the fear of getting stuck under the boat in the event that it turns over and simultaneously enhancing the adrenaline-pumping experience.

Burn Baby, Burn!

This is one of the best ways to start a fire (on a grill of course).

THE LOOFTLIGHTER ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR LIGHTER FLUID.

In Sweden alone, lighter fluid consumption adds up to at least 10 million bottles a year.* This figure does not include disposable grills or petroleum lighter cubes. Since lighter fluid burns at a low temperature it emits a lot of toxic hydrocarbons when ignited. Lighter fluid is based on fossile gasoline and is part of the problem with global warming. Use of lighter fluid and petroleum products in the barbeque always affects the food.

North Face Apogee Jacket

If you are skiing 60+ days a year, in some pretty harsh conditions this jacket is for you. The North Face ApoGee Jacket.
Staying true to the styles of yesterday and encompassing the technology of today, the Steep Tech™ Apogee Jacket offers nearly invincible protection against winter's fury. Constructed with Kevlar®-reinforced shoulders for high-risk mountain descents, this burly jacket includes an array of technical features that athletes rely on for all-day use.
Designed in part with The North Face® athlete and extreme skiing pioneer, Scot Schmidt, the geometric Steep Tech™ logo (on torso) is derived form something Joseph Campbell (an American mythologist) used in his lectures. Schmidt says, “I believe he called it the ‘Sphere of the Physique’. It represents a healthy balance between the mind, body and soul. The outer circle represents the body. The center dot represents your soul. The line separates your ego from your source (soul).”

Light and Warm

Patagonia makes great stuff hands down, I have had a kayaking jacket I used for sailing and they have replace the color several times. about 20 years ago they had a jacket similar to the Men's Down Sweater and of course it was stolen at college. So to see a similar product like this just makes me want to stay out in the cold.

There's much to see 14,000 feet up at the Chasm View bivy: a vertigo-inducing panorama of the Diamond and alpenglow over the Rockies. There's also chilly air in any season, and that's where our Down Sweater comes in. It delivers minimal weight, superb compressibility and high-loft warmth. The ripstop shell with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish does more than look sharp: it's tear-resistant and windproof and made from 100% recycled polyester. Details include top-quality 800-fill-power goose down, a quilted-through construction, two exterior zippered pockets, a stretch-mesh interior chest pocket that doubles as a zippered stuff sack and a carabiner clip-in loop. Drawcord hem.

Details

  • Superlight, windproof and water-resistant shell has high-tear strength
  • Quilted construction stabilizes 800-fill-power premium European goose down
  • Pockets: two zippered handwarmers, one zippered stretch-mesh that doubles as a stuff sack with carabiner clip-in loop
  • Nylon-bound elastic cuffs and drawcord hem seal warmth in and drafts out
  • Shell and lining: 1.4-oz 22-denier 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 800-fill-power premium European goose down
  • 368 g (13 oz)
  • Made in China.

Material

  • Recycled Polyester
  • We recycle used soda bottles, unusable second quality fabrics and worn out garments into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Technology

  • Deluge® DWR
  • Patagonia’s proprietary durable water repellent fabric finish, Deluge DWR, lasts substantially longer than standard DWRs. Garments with the Deluge DWR finish have like-new repellency after years of extensive use.

Shark Running Jacket

We are always looking for the next best thing, cycling get new stuff left and right, running shoes has Newton Running, so why shouldn't your upper body get some cool digs as well.
X-BIONIC Running Shark Jacket High-Functional Running Jacket was made with very high-tech features that provide the athlete an optimal performance climate. For example, fresh air can be let into the interior of the jacket via AirIntakes so as to be distributed through a complex system of channels and bars around the body. This was moisture and stale air is carried out of the jacket keeping you you dry and feeling good. In addition, the symbionic membrane is wind and waterproof but doesn't constrict breathability in the process. It transports not only vapour but also sweat drops through the membrane to the outside.

Freeflow Slacklines

Any Product that helps train your core is the way to go. Freeflow is second to non.

Plain and simple the sport is called slacklining. The "rope", which is called webbing, isn't pulled tight like a tighrrope. This is what makes slacklining so unique. The ability to bounce and sway allows you to build superb balance while maximizing your core strength.

The tensioning systems on all Freeflow Lines are so easy to set up and use that anyone can quickly adjust the line to their specific liking. Lines can be set super tight for jumping and aerial tricks. Go for moves like the 180, 360, Moon Walk - and if you really get good nail the backflip!

Looking to really build your balance and put a little wobble in your step? The line can be set loose and it will provide you with a really nice back and forth sway that mimics the motion of carving on a surfboard, snowboard, wakeboard or skateboard. Many board and ball training systems exist, but none offer the full range of motion that Freeflow Lines provide.

ABS-Avalanche Airbag

Fall is upon us and that means switching gears, mountain biking, trail running, and yes skiing starts to creep in the picture. Well feel a little more secured with the ABS-Avalanche Airbag system, wears like a back pack, then pull to inflate.

Once activated, the ABS equalizes the volume and density of the victim relative to the surrounding snow by working on the principle of "inverse particles" .

...and you are ontop within 2 seconds.

As with a life vest in the water, the victims swims on the surface of the avalanche. The added volume of 150 liters has been calculated to be needed for cold, dry and loose snow. If the snow is denser, wetter and heavier less volume is needed. The statistics show that all victims carried down by a moving avalanche stayed on top and survived the incident (see the statistics) .

So be safe get prepared and hey have an advantage if you are playing out of bounds.

Rappel Belt

Ok not that you would but know that you could. There is no gadgets, technology or fancy buttons on this belt, strap in on and it holds up your pant. A bit different than the standard a conversation piece as well. Lightweight, flexible, and comfortable uniform belt that can be used for emergency rappels. Does not dig into waist when bending or moving like other brands.
Worth the price - $24
