Freeflow Slacklines

Any Product that helps train your core is the way to go. Freeflow is second to non.

Plain and simple the sport is called slacklining. The "rope", which is called webbing, isn't pulled tight like a tighrrope. This is what makes slacklining so unique. The ability to bounce and sway allows you to build superb balance while maximizing your core strength.

The tensioning systems on all Freeflow Lines are so easy to set up and use that anyone can quickly adjust the line to their specific liking. Lines can be set super tight for jumping and aerial tricks. Go for moves like the 180, 360, Moon Walk - and if you really get good nail the backflip!

Looking to really build your balance and put a little wobble in your step? The line can be set loose and it will provide you with a really nice back and forth sway that mimics the motion of carving on a surfboard, snowboard, wakeboard or skateboard. Many board and ball training systems exist, but none offer the full range of motion that Freeflow Lines provide.

Mechanical doping and the future of e-bikes | Bicycle Design

From Bicycle Design..
Listening to the May 20th episode of the Velocast podacst, I first heard the term “mechanical doping” used to describe a hidden electric motor in the seat tube of a racing frame. In the podcast, they mentioned that the UCI was investigating allegations that lightweight Gruber Assist motors may have been used in bikes raced at Paris Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders. Over the weekend, an article in Bike Biz discussed the matter further, quoting a former pro who claims to have “ridden a 10 kg pro bike with an electric motor housed in the frame at the crank.” After the Bike Biz story broke and a video surfaced, rumors that Fabian Cancellara may have ridden the Spring Classics with a motor in his bike spread quickly on the web. Today, even Cycling News and VeloNews are addressing the issue. The latter even has a statement from Cancellara about the accusation- “It’s so stupid I’m speechless, I’ve never had batteries on my bike.”

Momentum™ Reel Mower / Yard and Garden / Products - Buy Online (Price $249.99) - Cylinder Mower | Fiskars

Now Fiskar makes some cool stuff but a lawn mower, hey at lest it must be sharp. The Fiskars® Momentum™ mower combines patent pending technology with superior ergonomics to deliver a reel mower with best in class cutting performance for a superior mowing experience.

InertiaDrive™ Technology: Combines a large diameter cutting reel and heavy blades to store energy (like a flywheel) until a burst of extra cutting power is needed.
• 2X More Cutting Power: Delivers twice the energy to power through small twigs, weeds, or dense grass that would jam other reel mowers.
• 30% Easier to Push: Advanced technologies reduce cutting system friction, provide optimal blade positioning and deliver extra cutting power to reduce push force by 30% in long grass.

StaySharp™ Cutting System: Precision engineered to cut grass without the blades touching – greatly reducing friction & blade wear.
• Long Lasting Performance: Delivers enduring performance without the need for annual sharpening by cutting grass without the steel-on-steel contact that dulls standard reel mowers.
• Best in Class Warranty: 4-year warranty is longer than any other reel mower warranty.

VersaCut™ Design: Positions the cutting reel forward and uses a long wheel base to provide maximum cutting versatility.
• Greatest Cut Range (1” to 4”): Delivers the greatest cut range of any reel mower – with cut height settings from 1” to 4”. The 4” maximum cut height is vital when you miss a week of mowing.
• Closest Side Edging: Edges three times closer than other reel mowers & never leaves uncut strips under the wheels.

Might not classify as full blown exercise but push mowing any lawn will do the trick.

Stratosphere Hotel Las Vegas - SkyJump

Hey it seem Las Vegas is good for something other than Biking. Jump off a casino, no not after you loose your life savings, after you pony up $99 and 30 min of your life. The Skyjump is the highest commercial decelerated descent, the SkyJump takes thrill-seekers on an 855-foot "controlled free-fall" at 40mph - think base jumping, but with a safety wire.

Hey I guess there are worse things to spend your money on in Vegas.

Drift Innovation - X170 Action Camera

So we all would like to have one, the expense is something completely different. You could take a old TREO 610 apart and use the video camera in that.

Wet Phone Emergency Kit

Dropped your phone in a sink, toilet, puddle, river rapids, or off your boat the Dry-All might be able to save it. A bag a rice can help but having a couple of these babies around can't hurt.

DRY-ALL is one of the most effective drying agents (desiccant) in existence. It is not a silica gel.
DRY-ALL is a mixture of indicating blue beads and stationary white beads. When all of the beads have turned white/tan they have absorbed all the moisture they can hold.

@ $10 dollars a bag it sure seems worth it if you can save your iPhone.

iPocketWallet - Best iPhone Wallet Case.

This is by far the best idea for the iPhone/Blackberry!

If you read through most of the reviews they are favorable and some even offer improvements but why, hook up a Bluetooth headset and you are good. if you want to surf take it our of your pocket. You could also poke a small hole through the top and plug your headset in, problem solved.

The only thing that could be added is a money click on the outside, hey I have needs too.

A product that doubles as a wallet and carrying case for the iPhone is here. The iPocketWallet is a new product for current iPhone users who have been longing for a way to carry around their money, credit cards, and iPhone all in one convenient package. All of the current iPhone cases on the market are suffering from one problem, BULKINESS. These products are all composed of thick leather, belt clips, and buckles. This type of packaging defeats the purpose of buying a phone that was manufactured and intended to be less than half an inch wide! iPocketWallet solves this problem by providing its owner with a comfortable wallet that fits easily inside your pants pocket.

Running Tights for Women and Men: Opedix Wellness Gear

So here is a company that seems to be pushing the compression boundaries to help individuals with joint problems, hey why not weave the support into the product if you can. That is what Opedix is trying to do, reduce pain, increase joint function and joint stability.

Opedix is Evidence Based Apparel®. Our running tights, posture shirts and ski/snowboard tights are proven, through scientific studies, to improve joint alignment in the knees and shoulders. This can increase stability and strength while also reducing wear and tear by 'unloading' the joints.

Using proprietary fabrics designed specifically for comfort and support, the Opedix Knee Support System utilizes a patent-pending anchor and sling design to provide support to the outside of the knee, which reduces the amount of damaging outward movement and decreases the stresses or “load” on the knee joint.

Rescue Ballon Kit, Simple!

Simple, give designer Jaeseok Han a million buck right now. He point out the obvious and easy solution that millions of us wish we had as a back up, either in the streets of NYC or in a jungle.

And you’re lost in the jungles…deep forest where GPS doesn’t work and you are stupid enough to leave your satellite phone at home! Aren’t you glad that you packed the “Rescue Balloon Kit” in your backpack? The handy kit contains a helium gas cylinder and a long string balloon. Fill it, seal and send it skywards. When you’re missing and rescue mission is on, hopefully this red tube will get spotted, hovering above the dense foliage.

This can be sold many different ways depending on where you live and where you are going. have a nice stash of some Paracord 100 feet $7 dollars at Cabela's.

Minnesota Builds Mountain Bike Trail for Disabled Cyclists at Backcountry.com: The Goat

Minnesota's first mountain bike trail accessible to disabled people on three-wheeled hand cycles will be built later this year at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove.

Advocates for the trail expect it to be an especially popular recreation outlet for injured veterans.

"I look around and see our veterans coming back with missing arms and legs, and these guys don't want to be handicapped, they don't want to stop doing things with their kids -- why not give them an opportunity?" said Tim Wegner of Rosemount, an off-road cyclist and professional trail builder.

If hand cyclists respond with enthusiasm, other dirt trails could be widened for accessible use, too, he said.

The accessible trail will be a 1- to 2-mile loop in a 12-mile dirt trail that the Three Rivers Park District plans to begin building this fall and open June 2011.

The $305,000 trail will be built with $90,000 from the state's Parks and Trails Legacy Grant Program and $50,000 from the Federal Recreational Trail Program.

MONOWALKER

Make your hike through the Alps, tundra or desert become a fulfilling experience. The MONOWALKER contributes to it. Due to the smart geometry, you only carry half of the weight of your equipment on your hips, without missing out on comfort and supplies. There is not going to be any weight on shoulder or neck. Because all the remaining weight is on the back wheel, your hike becomes much more relaxing.
If you want to stop, in order to take a deep breath, you can relax and just lean back because the disk brakes will hold you and the baggage.

MONOWALKER follows you, wherever you want to go to. You are not restricted in moving while pulling it, because the MONOWALKER has a special hipbelt. Therefore, one-sided impact on shoulders, neck or back diminishes. Additionally, by going uphill and downhill, your knees become released, because you are carrying only half the weight of your equipment. On downhill routes, the brakes help you, because you can choose to pull the disk brake, so that it makes the trailer move slow constantly.

The MONOWALKER trailer follows you through all terrain. We have not found one trail in the Alps that would have been impossible to pass for the trailer; singletrails, screes, rooted trails- MONOWALKER follows you.

When the trail becomes a fixed rope route, the MONOWALKER can be used as backpack, with an effort of just seconds. The substructure of the trailer and the handlebar need to come off, and the “harness” connects with the main frame.
Eventually, the major weight will be supported by the hipbelt. Therefore, even very heavy equipment can be carried.

Orbea Alma 29er

Everyone should want this bike? Light and Fun.

From our belief in the alternative geometry, and being first in the industry to introduce a monocoque carbon 29er, this high-end carbon race machine combines the advantages of a 29” configuration in a hard tail set-up with a built-to-win spec. More angular momentum for greater traction, increased stability at higher speeds in the corners, smoothing out the washboards and superior capability to roll over the obstacles, are some of the advantages of the 29” wheel diameter. The sleek, monocoque carbon fiber lay-up takes Toray M30S and T700 carbon fibers and positions them in the fabrication process to balance stiffness and agility where the rider needs them most. The innovative shape of the front triangle optimizes power transfer and handling, while the longer chainstays and 4-point rear triangle provide passive suspension and torsional stiffness not found in a conventional rear triangle. Refined glossy natural carbon laminate and silver paint reflect the bling of the build with full Shimano XTR componentry, Rock Shox Reba 29er fork and Mavic Crossmax 29 wheels.

and enjoy your sessions

> Studies show your body actually works better with
music: you burn more calories and lose more weight

The end result is that NextFit makes it fun to start moving and get fit. Just follow your trainer, listen to your music, and reach your goals; it's that simple!

Bobble Bottle

Bobble aims to make water better and become the Britta of sports/water bottles. A great idea why wait for water to filter then pour into a bottle, just fill and go. It is also BPA free and reusable, how nice.

With it only costing $9.95 for an 18.5oz, what do you have to lose, when normal water cost $2 at WAWA. They say you should replace the filter after 40 gallons thats 640oz 34.59 refills. so at roughly $2 for 24oz that is 26.66 bottles @ $2=$53.00 seems like a savings.
Really you can't loose.

Napper – Sleeping In Public Hooded Shawl With Earphones and Bluetooth by Simone Wittmann Yanko Design

Ah so many reasons, but the situation still remains unresolved; how do you catch your forty winks during a commute? Easy, you need a Napper! It’s a set of comfy hooded shawl with concealed earphones (that work with Bluetooth), combined with a Bluetooth lock for your luggage, and NapApp. Intrigued? Hit the jump for more info…

Napper aims especially at sleeping in public transport.
It consists of a hood, whose padding makes it comfortable to lean against window panes.
It‘s wide cut and the scarf make it possible for you to shield yourself from the environment and create your own private cocoon.
Bluetooth headphones are integrated in the hood, which, together with software for the mobile phone, provide sound to fall asleep with.
The entire system is foldable into a compact bag and can be easily used for daily commuting as well as for longer.
The hood‘s inlay is padded with 3Mesh material, which has a soft cushioning effect and high shock absorption against the vibrating windows.
On the outer side of the headphones is covered in Sorbothane, a plastic foil which has noise absorbing properties.
Inside the hood, Napcap‘are integrated Bluetooth headphones which, together with the traveler’s mobile phone, play music, send the wake-up alarm and the warning signal, in case the traveler’s luggage is moved.
The headphones can easily be taken out of the hood, when you want to wash it.
Small LED lights on the headphones give information about the remaining battery life and Bluetooth connection. The headphones lithium-polymer-battery is charged via USB, which is integrated in the headphone and can simply be plugged into your computer. There is also a mini-jack on the headphones, if you want to use them with a device which doesn’t support Bluetooth.
To ensure a carefree sleep, the hood NapCap comes together with the luggage lock NapSecure. It doesn‘t only lock your luggage, but is connect to your mobile phone via Bluetooth. If the luggage should be moved away from its owner further than one meter, he will be warned by an alarm on his headphones, his mobile phone and the lock itself.
The lock can be opened by using your mobile phone, but also through a mechanical lock, in case your battery is low or your phone is lost.
The Bluetooth lock is charged, same as the headphones, using an integrated USB port. The luggage lock and the headphones communicate via Bluetooth with the software NapApp which can be installed as well on touchscreen as on keyboard mobile phones.
Next to the control of the luggage lock, it contains a alarm clock which helps to wake up at according to your preferred time, location (if the mobile supports GPS) or sleep stage. With the help of a reaction game, which should be played directly after waking up, the software analyses how recreational your nap was and whether or not you should shorten or extend your next nap. Furthermore the software has a build in voice recorder, to capture the ideas you have just before dozing off.

Boards shaped like fishes, skeletons and sea horses, oh and they are aluminum. You might not be doing a lot of tricks on them but cruising down the street, oh so cool.
Here’s the extra trick part: there are illuminated riser pads under the trucks to give the board an underglow effect at night.

Shackleton’s Whiskey Safely Recovered from Antarctic Ice at Backcountry.com: The Goat

Who doesn't want a sip of this, technology aside this should calm your nerves after a long day.

"A New Zealand beverage company has successfully recovered five crates of whiskey and brandy that were abandoned on Shackleton’s failed 1908-09 ‘Nimrod’ expedition to Antarctica. I know what you’re thinking: ‘Nimrod expedition?’ Who was their PR agency? The crates had been broken open by shifting ice and a few bottles were lost, but the recovery crew was surprised to find two cases of brandy alongside the three cases of whiskey they knew were there. I predict that some of these bottles will be sold at auction and bring in nearly $15k apiece. Then those people will drink them and die, but before they die, they’ll realize that Shackleton abandoned all the booze because it was poisonous."

GPS technology on Rugby field

Wow, now why is it that the Uk is doing this for Rugby and American Football is not? American Football, those guys on the line are huge, sucking wind every chance they get. Imagine that on Fox monitoring the stats of a linebacker and the quarterback. The coach could take them out before they blow up and sub when needed. Wow this could completely change sports for the good. Would make it a heck lot more interesting to watch, cause why do they drink liquid every chance they get?

Jumping Light Skipping Rope With Torchlight

img src="http://www.yankodesign.com/images/design_news/2010/01/11/jumping_light1.jpg" width=350"
Carrying exercise over into the night during the summer is hard, how cool would this look at night, better than fire flies.
With all the energy you expend while jumping rope, imagine using some to power a handy torchlight fitted within the skipping rope handles. Torchlight in any form is a good idea, but the cool quotient in this Jump Light comes from the fact that you won’t need any batteries to power the bulb. It simply runs by converting the kinetic energy from your jumps to electric energy. Now if that isn’t motivational enough for you to skip just a bit more!

Rambler Socket Built-in Wall Extension Cord by Meysam Movahedi Yanko Design

I want to be able to recharge my gadgets and gizmos with this, what a great idea.
Rambler Socket maybe the solution most of us are looking for as far as extension cords are concerned. I mean if you hit “Extension Cord” on YD, for most of the posts you will see readers nitpicking and finding fault with the design. Here’s why Rambler Socket will knock your socks off. It’s this 1.5 meters cord that unfurls from a cavity behind its socket. When you don’t need extensions, it’s neatly tucked away. When you need it, simply pinch the sides and wind it out.

After the deed is done, you simply give the wire a gentle tug (activates a spring mechanism), and it recoils back into place. Ideal for using with electronics like vacuum cleaners, hair driers etc where you don’t need extension cords on a full-time basis.
